Meet with DTS in Person at DevCon 2010!
They've answered your tickets and forum posts, and maybe you've talked to them on the phone or chat to get support.
You've seen their recent posts about how excited they are to meet you at DevCon 2010!
Did you know that our Developer Technical Support engineers are also your advocates behind the scenes at eBay?
- They stand up for you and your needs in planning sessions and cross-functional team meetings with our Platform leaders.
- They file bugs on your behalf and follow through to inform you when the bugs fixed.
- They give our architects, engineers, and product managers design input so that new and changed APIs can better meet your engineering needs.
At DevCon, you'll have a unique opportunity to talk with eBay staff like our DTS engineers, plus eBay product managers, engineers, architects, and executives.
We encourage you to take this great opportunity to give us more insight into your business and your development environment so that we can help you grow with us!
Sign up for 1:1s for some scheduled face-to-face time, or just come up and chat at the Beer Bash, lunches, and during breaks between sessions!
Looking forward to talking with you there!

DevCon 2010 will Rule!!!
I'm Jimmy Wong, and I am a Developer Technical Support Engineer at eBay's Developers Program. I'm the guy who answers your tickets and forum posts from time to time. I'll be the guy giving the Beginner's Tips and Tricks Session on day two of the DevCon this year. I will bring with me some amazing tips to help you API beginners out there catch up to speed with everyone else.
I'm not just a software geek, I'm also into hardware as well. In fact, over the summer I made a Hackintosh for my mom using a little Shuttle PC. Being that my mom is now 73, her eyesight is not super, thus I made the icons really big so she can see it. Its still working to this day. She uses it to buy things on eBay.
What am I looking forward to at DevCon this year? Why of course, I'm looking forward to the happy hour thats going to happen after my session is over! No seriously, I'm looking forward to seeing all of you developers whom I've had a chance to support. Its always great to connect faces with names.

See you at DevCon!
My name is Sarika and I am a Developer Technical Support Engineer at eBay. Here at eBay, I work with third party developers to provide consultation and best practice recommendations about the eBay APIs.
I am getting ready for DevCon and really excited to be a part of it. Have you registered for DevCon yet? If you haven't, I would highly recommend you do. DevCon is your chance to meet and interact with folks at eBay (execs, developers, product managers..) and to hear some awesome keynotes from industry leaders.
If you are an API newbie, I would recommend you sign up for the pre-conference workshop - eBay API Jumpstart. This hands-on workshop will cover the basic concepts of the eBay Platform and get you familiarized with some of our popular APIs. At the end of the workshop, you will be API ready and all set to code your first app!
See you there!

I can't wait for eBay DevCon 2010!
My name is Dan Power and I work for eBay in the Developer Technical Support supporting the eBay APIs. I have already been able to work with some of you that will be attending DevCon and I look forward to meeting each of you. Beware, I do have a dry sense of humor that I like to use. So keep your toes out of my way.
I have strong skills in PHP, CSS and XML. I have specialized in the Trading and LMS APIs. You will be able to find me at the 1:1s and I will be attending the "Tracking and Testing for Ajax and Heavy Client Web 2.0" session. In addition, you may want to see my counter part with LMS in the eBay API Platforum Jumpstart session.

Apps Center adds more marketing opportunites for Open eBay Apps!
Check out the latest marketing upgrades to the Apps Center, where sellers can find vetted apps to grow and manage their business! We've enhanced featured app placements to showcase more apps, and reduced the number of clicks to needed to subscribe. These apps are embedded inside of MyeBay, where sellers can directly access app functionality along side core MyeBay functions.
The Open eBay product team has also launched several recent product enhancements to help app developers better manage subscriptions. Most significantly, subscribers can now easily upgrade and downgrade between subscription plans.
The feature list includes:
- Offer easy upgrades and downgrades between subscription plans. Find out the pre-requisites, and how to opt-in!
- Get notified every time a user's subscription state changes. Especially useful for notifications for cancellation requests on non-prorated billing plans!
- Get notified when a users auth token is revoked or renewed. Automate your end user messaging and detection of account synchronization problems.
Check out the Open eBay documentation for a complete list of the latest feature enhancements!
Wondering what it takes to build an Open eBay App? Join us for the Open eBay Apps Jumpstart workshop at the eBay Developers Conference on June 8th-10th in San Jose,CA. We hope to see you there!
