Winners of the French eBay Developers Contest

The French eBay Developers Program has just completed their first coding contest, otherwise known as the "Grand Concours eBay des développeurs."

The contest ended July 15th, and was open globally to all members of eBay Developer community. Over 50 program members signed up for the contest, and 15 made it to the judging table.

Three winners have been selected:

• 1st place (5000€ cash prize): basefire.com (English version), a smart eBay search engine using the eBay data market program.
• 2nd place (3000€ cash prize): lokaliz.com (in French), a sleek mashup of Google Earth and eBay APIs.
• 3rd place (1000€ cash prize): pixel-peeper.com (English version), a camera/lens buying helper, leveraging the Flickr picture database.
