Latest updates on eBay Developers Conference 2007

eBay Developers Conference is getting closer and I can’t wait for it to get here!

Before I launch into new developments, I have to take care of some business. First, if you haven’t already registered, you probably want to do so before our early bird discount ends on April 6th. (That's today!) You’ll pay only US$350—and save 40%—if you do. Second, we have closed our call for papers and are no longer accepting nominations for our Star Developers Awards. So if you contributed, thanks!

Now for the news, A.K.A., “why you can’t afford to miss this event”.

If you want to know the “State of eCommerce”, listen to our distinguished Keynote and featured speakers.

Monday, June 11: Morning Keynote

  • Kevin Lynch, Chief Software Architect, Adobe
  • Directors of the eBay, PayPal, and Skype Developers Programs

Tuesday, June 12: Afternoon Keynote

  • Scott Thompson, CTO, PayPal
  • Eric Billingsley, Senior Director, eBay Research Labs, eBay

Wednesday, June 13: Morning Coffee Talk

  • Pierre Omidyar, Founder and Chairman of the Board, eBay
  • John Donahoe, President, eBay Marketplaces

Our three session tracks will be Affiliate Traffic and Buying Applications, Selling and Merchant Tools, and eCommerce Consulting and Integration. Surely one of them is right up your alley.

We’re also expanding our popular 1-on-1 technical support sessions to help solve your toughest business challenges—and they’re still free of charge.

On the social front, the beer bash is back, along with our “hallway track”, which entails kicking back on a couch with other eCommerce professionals, taking advantage of our wireless Internet access, and sharing ideas. Don’t forget your laptops—or your business cards.

Lastly, we’re offering PayPal bootcamp training and the certification exam—a $150 value—free with your eBay Developers Conference badge. So, you’ll be able to advance your business—and your career—by getting certified for the leading online payment solution all while you’re here.

If you’re an eBay, PayPal, Skype, ProStores, or Shopping.com developer, don’t miss this eCommerce extravaganza. Go to www.ebay.com/devcon and register now!

Looks like a great show. I look forward to catching up on the latest tech from PayPal and the rest of the eBay family.
