Update to Accepted Payments Policy
As originally announced in October 2005, developers building applications using eBay Web Services APIs should be aware of eBay’s Accepted Payments policy. This policy clarifies eBay's position on payment and enforcement methods.
Developer Impact: Developers whose applications offer Third Party Checkout (also known as Checkout Redirect) must adhere to the Accepted Payments policy by allowing only approved payment services to interact with the eBay Marketplace.
We will review all new item listings to ensure they abide by our Accepted Payments policy. The AddItem family of API calls will now return an error when a listing violates this policy. Please pass along this message to your sellers. To fix this, sellers should revise the item description to remove offending content and resubmit.
Developers should read the Announcement Board post for additional information on our Accepted Payments policy.
