Killer Buyer App Session
Wow, that was an awsome session! Standing room only. Madhu Gupta gave a very complete presentation on how to create a buyer application. She outlined the basic building blocks and tools needed to build a complete and compelling buyer application. This session would was great for beginners that want to know what's required to build an application, but included enough tips to keep the seasoned developers' attention.
The presentation slides (available from the Developers Conference site) contain a lot of good information and URLs for resources. It will make a useful reference.
Madhu described a couple new calls that affiliate developers might find interesting: GetContextualKeywords and PlaceOffer. Affiliate developers can apply to participate in Beta testing for GetContextualKeywords, which returns ranked eBay keywords and categories for a specified Web page. See the eBay Affilate Program eBay AdContext page for more information. PlaceOffer does what you might expect. This call is in a pilot program. Contact eBay Developer Relations at developer-relations AT ebay.com for information about participating in the pilot program.
